Please reach out to us at mainewoodenbuoys@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
The reason we have no "shopping cart" is that there are so many options for your buoys that we need to ask questions about what you are looking for to ensure you get exactly what you are looking for.
Since all buoys are a natural wood product, there is a chance that your buoys may or may not have a crack or may develop a crack over time. There is no way to determine when and/or if your buoy will crack. This is what makes them unique and adds to the character of your buoys.
Depending on if we happen to have what you are looking for in stock, please allow 10-14 days for your buoy to be finished. It also depends on the complexity of your buoy - some may take a bit longer and some a bit quicker.
We charge actual shipping so depending on how many, what size and weight of your buoy will determine shipping costs. We generally ship via USPS and UPS - whichever is the least expensive to save you money. If you prefer a different carrier, please let us know and we will do what we can to accommodate your request.
Maine Wooden Buoys would be very happy to assist you with your fundraiser. Just drop us a note on your event.

All our paints are old-based enamel.
Yes. We have a vinyl cutter which allows us a wide variety of options. We use an outdoor permanent vinyl. If you know your buoy will be placed outside, we can add some clear gloss polyeurethane to help protect it.
Yes, our buoys float. They do get heavier when wet.
Yes, we offer buoys without paint. We can sand them for you and add the leather strap or rope in your box so you can attach them when you choose.
You most certainly can. What a great way to give a personal gift. We suggest adding a primer coat (which we can do for you for a small fee). Cedar will bleed when painted if a primer base coat is not applied.
Yes, your buoy can be placed outside. We do, however, highly recommend 2-3 coats of polyurethane to be put on your buoy to protect it. Mother nature won't be very nice to the paint. We can put this on for you. Just ask.
